Most Popular Lefkada Island Beaches
Vasiliki is a popular resort on the island, which has become a famous Greek Island windsurfing center, located on the southern coast of the island, only about 2 miles from Agios Petros.
Windsurfers and sailboats are a common sight at Vasiliki Beach in the summer months thanks to the local thermal winds in the area. So, water sports enthusiasts will be happy to know that numerous vacation companies provide rental equipment.
The rugged and challenging terrain is another main attraction drawing mountain bike riders to the region, too.
Porto Katsiki, situated on the western coast of the island, is a site not to be missed. It is just breathtaking, with the steep cliffs rising out of turquoise waters, contrasting against the white pebble beach. The 100-step decent is the only way to access this beach, so keep that in mind if visiting with young children.
The other most popular and exotic Lefkada beach is Kathisma, just 15 km from Lefkada Town. It is one of the best – it’s long, sandy beach with azure water that’s perfect for spending the afternoon swimming and sunbathing.
Pefkoulia, so close to Lefkada Town, makes it a popular beach in peak season months.
Egremnoi or Egremni Beach is also accessed by numerous steps, as is Porto Katsiki. With beautiful, inviting waters, this partially organized beach should definitely be on your list!
