Plakoto Beach sits 13 kilometers north of Hora and you can reach it by taking a boat or following a track road. There are no tourist facilities at Plakoto Beach, so make sure you’re prepared with enough towels, chairs, food, and drinks.
Plakoto sits on the northernmost part of Ios and has a long sandy coast which meets with amazing crystal clear water. Watch out while walking along the beach, as there are some pebbles.

Keep in mind that Plakoto Beach in Ios can get a bit windy during the summer. The beach is usually secluded and you will be able to enjoy privacy and quiet.
